Cognizant is looking for an authority and highly motivated Data Scientist Consultant to join our Data Science and Analytics team. You must have a validated background in data-driven problem solving and be able to develop and implement innovative solutions with little to no mentorship. If you are an analytics-minded professional with a passion for unlocking the potential of data, then this role is for you.
To be successful in this role, a candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field, with demonstrated ability in data science and analytics.
The successful candidate must have proven skills in programming languages such as Python and R, and must be familiar with a variety of data visualisation software tools such as Tableau and PowerBI.
Experience in machine learning algorithms and natural language processing (NLP) will be considered a plus.
This role will have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of data sets and will be expected to use their expertise to develop solutions to challenging business problems.
Responsibilities: Develop data-driven solutions to challenging business problems.
Utilize programming languages such as Python and R to build innovative solutions.
Leverage data visualisation software tools such as Tableau and PowerBI for data analysis.
Utilize machine learning algorithms and natural language processing (NLP) to enhance data analysis.
Collaborate with the Data Science and Analytics team to develop and implement effective data solutions.
Monitor and evaluate data trends and patterns to find opportunities for improvement.
Provide technical support and mentorship to stakeholders as needed. Stay up to date with new technologies and industry trends in data science and analytics.

The annual salary for this position is between $[70,000 – 85,000 USD] depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
